Dr. Ashley Uy
Dr. Ashley N. Uy is an accomplished Doctor of Chiropractic and Qualified Medical Evaluator with extensive experience delivering integrative, evidence-informed musculoskeletal care. With a clinical background spanning community health centers, corporate wellness settings, and private practice, she specializes in treating active adults, patients with chronic pain, and individuals experiencing pregnancy-related biomechanical changes.
Her multidisciplinary approach blends orthopedic and neurologic assessment, manual therapy, corrective exercise, and patient-centered education. As a QME, Dr. Uy is certified by the California Division of Workers’ Compensation to perform impartial medical-legal evaluations, disability assessments, and comprehensive reporting. She has practiced across San Diego County and is recognized for her collaborative, whole-person approach, working closely with primary care physicians, physical therapists, mental health providers, and other specialists.
Dr. Uy’s background also includes corporate health coaching, research in Motivational Interviewing, and leadership in patient education. Across all roles, she prioritizes functional improvement, evidence-based practice, and empowering patients to participate actively in their recovery.

- Chronic Pain Management Specializing in the management of chronic pain conditions, which is supported by additional training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT).
- Musculoskeletal and Performance Care Providing evidence-informed care for active adults with musculoskeletal injuries or performance-related concerns. This includes expertise in corrective exercise, movement assessment, and tailored therapeutic exercises.
- Perinatal Care Experienced in addressing musculoskeletal changes associated with pregnancy.
- Diagnostic Expertise Determining appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans based on orthopedic and neurologic evaluations, as well as interpretations of radiographs and MRI imaging.
- Advanced Manual Therapy Techniques Certified in a range of specialized soft-tissue and movement therapies:
- Active Release Technique (ART) for the spine, upper, and lower extremities.
- Kinesiotaping (Performance Movement Taping and Fascial Movement Taping).
- Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) using Tecnica Gavilan.
