Dr. Chris A. Rapoff is an experienced Doctor of Chiropractic and Qualified Medical Evaluator with more than four decades of clinical practice in chiropractic medicine, impairment evaluation, and forensic examination. His work is grounded in exceptional training across industrial injury evaluation, impairment rating, and forensic assessment, including Diplomate status with the American Board of Forensic Professionals.

Since becoming a Qualified Medical Evaluator in 2012, Dr. Rapoff has performed medical-legal evaluations for the State of California Division of Workers’ Compensation, providing impartial assessments, disability determinations, and expert medical-legal reporting. His expertise is supported by advanced postdoctoral certifications including NRCME (DOT) medical examiner training, AMA Guides 5th Edition impairment-rating certification, and extensive forensic coursework.

Dr. Rapoff’s clinical career spans ownership and leadership of multiple chiropractic centers in Illinois and California, service as an independent contractor in both private and multidisciplinary settings, and several years of personal training and functional performance instruction. He has also held adjunct faculty roles, teaching anatomy, physiology, and health sciences to pre-professional students, and has delivered educational programs for older adult communities.

Services Offered:
  • Qualified Medical Evaluations (QME) and Industrial Injury Evaluation. His primary concentration is on Qualified Medical Evaluation in California, and he has served as a Qualified Medical Evaluator in Chiropractic Medicine for the State of California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers’ Compensation since December 2012.
  • Medical-Legal and Forensic Expertise. He holds Diplomate Status with the American Board of Forensic Professionals (DABFP) and has extensive postgraduate training in Forensic Science, including modules on Law for the Forensic Examiner and Disability & Physical Performance Assessments.
  • Permanent Impairment Rating. Dr. Rapoff is certified in the International Certification of Impairment Rating, specifically using the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 5th Edition.
