Sound Medical Evaluators wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or a keyboard alone.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities.
What we are doing
- We test key pages with automated tools (axe-core and pa11y) and by hand, including keyboard-only navigation and testing at small screen sizes and 200% zoom.
- We are fixing the issues we found, including keyboard access to menus, visible focus, colour contrast, form labels, and a pause control for the homepage background video.
- We check new pages and content for accessibility before we publish them.
- We will keep reviewing the site and fixing problems we find.
Known limitations
We are still working on some parts of the site:
- Some older blog posts may have headings or links that do not yet meet every guideline.
- Some features come from third-party tools, such as our online course and store pages. We do not fully control these tools, but we will help you get the information or service another way if a third-party feature does not work for you.
